Macroscopic description:
Subtotal gastrectomy. Lesser curve: 97mm. Greater curve: 195mm. Length of stapled margin: 73mm. Length of duodenum: 25mm. Partially obstructing pre-pyloric tumour measuring 28 x 26mm.

Polypoid tissue mesuring 3x1x1 cm. All embedded.

Male 79 years

Small intestine. Small bowel obstruction. Small bowel resection containing a tumour which is sited 190cm from the ileo-caecal valve.

Macroscopic description:
A 55mm length of small bowel with attached mesentery. The muocsa bears a grey brown polypoid tumour that measures 45 x 30 x 55mm. The polyp is situated 20mm from the nearest resection margin.

Immunohistochemistry:
Shows the tumour to be positive for CD10 and vimentin. It is negative for cytokeratin 7 and 20.

An intact appendix with mesoappendix measuring 60 x 10 x 12mm. The serosa is haemorrhagic and bears an exudate.

Immunohistochemistry:
Chromogranin and synaptophysin strongly positive, focally positive for CD56.

Macroscopic description:
This is sigmoid polyp: A pedunculated polyp measuring 22x20xx20mm. The surface shows no ulceration or necrosis. The stalk measures 7mm in length. Serially sliced and all embedded.

Immunohistochemistry:
None.

Macroscopic description:
salvage abdomino-perineal specimen with an ulcerated tumour with a max diameter of 15mm arising from the posterior wall of the anal canal. The tumour extended from the dentate line proximally to the squamocolumnar junction.
